Pons Brooks Comet 2024. A comet discovered last year is getting brighter as it makes its closest pass by earth later this week, and this could be humanity’s last chance. While it was too dim to see with the eye alone, some astrophotographers caught it in their images.

The comet will be visible in clear dark skies above the western horizon during the hours after dusk. Each day a different image or photograph of our fascinating universe is featured, along with a brief explanation written by a professional astronomer.
